It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Steven G. Pounder, of Bandon, Oregon, on January 2, 2024, at the age of 74, succumbing to complications of war-induced multiple myeloma. Steve was an incredible brother, uncle, husband to Margaret, father of four, and grandfather of seven, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Born in Seattle, WA on August 3, 1949, Steve was a force of nature. With a contagious sense of humor, he could make anyone laugh at the drop of a hat. Steve possessed a unique talent for fixing anything in the most creative ways, always teaching along the way to anyone willing to learn.
Steve's journey was a remarkable mix of adventures. A creative soul, he served his country in the US Marine Corps before embracing the spirit of entrepreneurship. His professional journey spanned various fields, including advertising, emu ranching, and successful ventures in the retail & hospitality industry. He considered his employees an extended family and devoted many years to volunteering in his community. Steve was the epitome of generosity, versatility and determination. His integrity unmatched.
Above all, Steve’s love for his family was boundless. His warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him. Steve’s memory will be carried forward with love and gratitude and the impact of his life will continue to resonate for years to come.
