Steven H. James

March 28, 1955 – February 13, 2025

Steve was born March 28, 1955 in Tillamook, OR, the son of Chauncey & Zora James.  He passed away peacefully at home February 13, 2025.

Steve drove truck for many years for Thomas & Sons, his father-in-law, Kenneth Kreutzer, brother, Dick James and Ed Flury.  For the last 24 years he worked for the City of Bandon Waste Water Department, the last several as Supervisor.

Steve is survived by his wife of nearly 33 years, Lori; sons, Jeremy (Katherine and David; grandchildren, Lilli, Parker, Chloe, Quinnlynn, Jett and Paislee; brother, Russell; sister, Eileen; sisters-in-law, Ruby, Diane and Dori; brothers-in-law, Mark and Steve; mother-in-law, Carol and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Chauncey and Zora; son, Jason; brothers, Sonny, Dick, Jack, Verlin and Frank; sisters, Betty, Arlene, Sheila and Jane and father-in-law, Kenneth.

“Janet” will be missed by his best friend, Steve Kreutzer, who said, “there will never be another Janet”, and many more.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
