Steven Anderson Obituary

Steve was born April 21, 1954 in Myrtle Point, son of Lloyd and Carol (King) Anderson. He died at his home January 15 at age 66.

He was raised and educated in Myrtle Point, graduating from Myrtle Point High School in 1972. He then attended Western Oregon University and Southwestern Oregon Community College, receiving his Associates Degree.

He married Jennifer Johnson and had two sons, Wesley and Ryan. They later divorced.

He spent his life working in the woods, from working for his father's Company then various other logging companies. He retired from Plum Creek in 2017. He was an expert as a Forester and Engineer, being able to plan and build roads with ease.

He was a member of the Coquille Valley Elks Lodge BPOE1935. He golfed regularly every Thursday and Saturday and enjoyed his golf family, and golf pardner Steve Major, and dear friend Sonny Smith. He was also a very accomplished wood worker, being very detail oriented and applying that trait to all he did. He was an avid Oregon Duck fan. He loved to travel, and he and Linda enjoyed their travels together. He was a kind hearted, honest, and loving guy. He will be so missed by his friends and family.

He is survived by his soul mate Linda Crabill; sons, Wesley Anderson and Ryan Anderson; brothers, Ray Anderson and Richard Anderson, sister Tanya. Also life long friends of over 60 years whom he loved like family, John Murray and Bob Stone.

The family would like a special thanks to North Bend Medical Center, Coquille, nurse Sally Thompson for her care and kindness. For always, so promptly making sure Steve had what he needed. Also Roseburg Cancer Center and Hospice for their kindness and assistance for ensuring his comfort. It was so appreciated.
