Robert Louis Fields was born October 11, 1929 in Jefferson City, MO to Anson and Nola Fields who have both preceded him in death. He had four brothers and three sisters who also preceded him in death. He passed away unexpectedly on December 4, 2023. He was 94 years old. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his wife, Joann Fields; son, Randy Fields and wife Catherine Fields; daughter, Pamela Patten and husband Mark Patten, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. He retired from Roseburg Lumber in Coquille where he worked for many years. Up until a few years ago, you could find him at one of the local restaurants for his daily cup of coffee, French fries and reading the local paper. A memorial service will be held for him on May 18, 2024 at 3 p.m. at the Coquille Seventh-day Adventist church at 1051 N Cedar Point Road, Coquille, OR.
