Patricia Ann (Bates) Donaldson

Patricia Ann “Pat” Donaldson was born in Crescent City, California, October 21, 1930.  She died in Bandon, Oregon , January 2, 2022.

Pat grew up in Bandon where her parents, Ray & Mary Bates, owned cranberry bogs.  In 1936 their home burned in the Bandon fire so they built a new home on Bates Road where their bogs were located.

After graduating from Bandon High School, Pat attended Oregon State College (now University) for one year.  She married Jack Donaldson and they lived at Denmark where they raised their children on the family ranch.  She and Jack were married almost sixty-six years when he passed away.

Pat is survived by her children, Barbara Knapp, Carol McKenzie, Steve Donaldson, Sue Rymal, Jim Donaldson, Mary Ann Donaldson, Bob Donaldson; fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will by held at the Cheese Factory in Langlois 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 22, 2022.  Please join us for a potluck afterward.
