Mollie Anderson went home to the Lord on November 30, 2023 in Coos Bay, Oregon at the age of 79. She was born in Reno, Nevada on September 1, 1944 to Thomas and Grace Gardner. She graduated from Roseburg High School in 1963. Mollie met and married Charley Anderson in Green, Oregon June 1, 1963. Together they raised two sons, Terry and Eric (Rick) Anderson. Mollie worked for Security Bank, was a member of the Coquille City Council for 22 years, she owned and operated her arts and crafts store, Fantasy Creations here in Coquille for many years as well as being a wonderful homemaker. Mollie was a Den mother for the Cub Scouts and helped with the Boy Scouts. She taught Hunter’s Safety, she was a Jacee-ette, for many years as a congresswoman with the Jacee-ettes,
Mollie is survived by her husband Charley of 60 years, her children Terry (Leslie) Anderson and Rick (Marnie) Anderson, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and extended family.
A memorial celebration will be held this coming Spring in Sturdivant Park.
