A celebration of the life of Myrtle Point resident, Michael McCumiskey, will be held at a later date.
Michael was born September 11, 1964 in Denver, Colorado, the son of Jim and Jo Ann McCumiskey. He died June 30, 2020 in Coquille at the age of 55.
He was raised and educated in Evergreen, Colorado. After school he eventually moved to Oregon where he worked for several years for Knife River as a lab technician.
He married Debora on May 27, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Debora, daughter, Katlyn & Chris Ball; daughter, Shelby Moser; son, Steve Nagel; grandchildren, Heidi Ball, Armon James Ball, Morgan Ball, Brandon Nagel, Breanna Nagel, Steve Nagel, Jr., Aubrieana Moser, Gunnar Grout, Katie Pedrick and Alishia Simpson; great-grandchildren, Skylynn Blank, Brian Blank, Oceana Blank, Phoenix Blank, Felicity Rose Pedrick and two brothers, one sister and, his adopted mother, JoAnn McCumiskey
In addition to his father Jim and mother, Linda who died when he was eight, he was preceded in death by his son, Tim Grout and grandson, Ryan Nagel.
Michael was well known for his love of the outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing and racing but his greatest love was for his family and friends.
