Obituary

Mary Lou Grove, a beloved member of the Myrtle Point community, passed away peacefully on March 1st, 2023, at the age of 91, due to complications from pneumonia. She was born on March 1st, 1932, in Powers, OR to Raymond and Margaret Wyland.

Mary Lou attended and graduated high school in Powers, where she met the love of her life, Frank Grove. The couple married and lived most of their adult lives in Myrtle Point, OR, where Mary Lou owned and operated Mary Lou’s Beauty Salon for over 20 years.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Grove, and son, Stanley Grove. She is survived by her sons Dan Grove and Henry (and Deanna) Grove, nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

A service in memory of Mary Lou Grove will be held at the First Christian Church in Myrtle Point, OR, on Saturday, March 18th, 2023, at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Frank and Mary Lou Grove Scholarship fund at Myrtle Point High School.

Mary Lou's memory will be cherished by all those who knew and loved her, and her kind spirit and generosity will continue to inspire and touch the lives of many for years to come.
