Mary Ann Frazier, beloved mother to four children, age 78, of Coquille, Oregon, passed away on September 30, 2024, leaving a void her family cannot fill.
Mary was born On October 22, 1945 in Reedsport, Oregon, the youngest of three daughters born to Troy and Ruby (Sherbondy) Burt. Mary and her sisters were raised in Camas Valley, Oregon and were educated in the Camas Valley School District. When Mary was approximately 16 years-old she met the love of her life, John I. Frazier. Eager to start a family, the couple were married on February 19, 1962 in Sutherlin, Oregon and in 2014 celebrated 52 years together.
Mary was a devoted mother to Terry, Diane, Denise and Donell, her pride and joy. She always said their birth changed her life for the better, and they felt that in the love and support she provided.
Mary took special joy in her family and she especially loved her grandchildren. Mary and John had fond memories of the many "Frazier Family" camping trips they shared with family and friends in Powers, Oregon. So many funny "Frazier family" stories were born from these camping trips and will continue to live on through their grandchildren.
Mary never missed an opportunity to tell her children, grandchildren and those she cared for deeply that she loved them. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren and could often be heard telling friends and strangers alike, "What beautiful children & grandchildren she had." Her fiesty spirit and salty attitude will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
Mary was a devoted Christian who cherished her Bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ. She attended the Center of Hope First Assembly of God Church in Coquille and took solace in knowing the Lord was watching over her.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, John I. Frazier; parents Troy and Ruby Burt; sisters Viola Parshall and Audrey Dulaney.
Mary is survived by her loving children: Terry Frazier, Diane (Ron) Henderson, Denise (David) Larsen all of Myrtle Point and Donell Frazier (John) Scheirman of Coquille; Grandchildren: Justin (Sarah) Schaffer, Christopher (Ruswell) Schaffer, Shawna Schaffer, Tara (Cesario) Bersosa, Anthony (Nicole) Frazier, Brandon Dalton, Jordan (Cassidy) Benn & Shelby Benn. Great-grandchildren: Karter Koser & Karlee Schaffer; Ava, Aubrey & Alec Schaffer; Jameson Benn, Gabriel & Violet Bersosa & Alice Frazier.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11am on November 2, 2024 at the Center of Hope Assembly of God Church located at 457 E. 2nd St. in Coquille, Pastor Phil Johnson officiating. Burial will be at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Coquille.
