John Nyhart Obituary
A celebration of the life of John “Doc” Nyhart, will be held at Faith Baptist Church 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 5, 2022.
Doc was born August 6, 1945 in Whittier, California, the son of Orvis and Frances Nyhart. He died August 21, 2022 in Bandon at the age of 77.
He grew up in Chester, CA, graduating from high school After high school he received the first of his college degrees, this in electronics. He served in the US Navy during Vietnam. After the service he returned to college.
He owned a Radio Shack in Dillon, Montana. He married his wife, Sandra on April 6, 2019 in Eugene.
He tutored at the Christian Tutoring School at Seabird Chapel. He started cribbage clubs in Brookings and Bandon. He owned By the Sea Cribbage Supply and made boards and pegs. He hand-painted all the lighthouse pegs. He loved playing cribbage day and night. He also loved photography, especially landscapes. He attended Faith Baptist Church and loved the Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; daughters, Wendy and Heidi; grandchildren Julia, Katelyn, Jordan, Lucas and Jackson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce.
