At her request, no services will be held for Joanne B. Balkema, 79, of Coos Bay, Oregon. She was born June 16, 1942 and passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022.
She is survived by her son, Robert and daughter-in-law AnnaLee Balkema; daughter Kristina and son-in-law, Rusty Gandy; grandchildren, James Balkema, Kenneth Gandy and Wesley Gandy; brother, Willard Wesel and sister Beverly Scott as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her beloved husband of 46 years, Eugene Wesley Balkema; her parents, John and Ellen Wesel; brothers, Leon Wesel and William (Bill) Wesel and sister Barbara McLeod.
