Jo Whitney Robison, 83, was born in Coquille on June 20, 1941 to parents Ivan and Laura (McNair) Robison.
Jo lived most of her life in Coos county. She lived in the same apartment in Coquille for over 40 years. She was a graduate of Myrtle Point High School in the class of 1959 and also earned an Associate degree from SWOCC.
Although Jo never married, she was a devoted and loving aunt to her nephew and niece and their families. One of her greatest joy's was when the "kids" came to visit.
Jo loved to travel but when her health issues made that impossible she started watching You Tube
videos. She virtually jumped on board with truck drivers, motorcycle riders or anywhere in the world where she could see new sights
Jo is survived by her brother, Ken Robison and wife Vicki; nephew, Stacey Robison and wife Peggy; niece, Lalori Lager and husband Scott. Great nephews and great nieces, Craig Stevens, Karisa McGrane, Austin Stevens, Caitlyn Hussey, Dakota Lager, Hannah Robison and Dayton Lager plus many great-great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by faithful friend and caregiver for over 17 years, Debbie Neves.
Graveside service will be held at Norway Cemetery on May 16 at 2:00 PM. A luncheon will follow.
