A Funeral Mass for Jane Kennedy, 67, of Myrtle Point, will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, July 3, 2026 at Sts. Ann & Michael Catholic Church with Father Fred Anthony officiating. Burial will be in a private family plot.
Jane was born May 13, 1959 in Coos Bay to Richard and Betty (Ostberg) Liles. She passed away June 28, 2026 surrounded by her family.
She graduated from Marshfield High School in 1977. Jane and Brian Kennedy were married October 24, 1981. Together they raised their family and ran cattle in Myrtle Point. Every one of Jane's cows was named.
Jane was a wonderful mother and grandmother, not only to her own children, but to the entire community. Jane dedicated countless hours of her time to the 4H program. She was a talented photographer. She attended sporting events and was sure to get photographs of every child. Jane loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Jane was a beautiful light for her family and her community. She loved fiercely, and was fiercely loved. An eternal optimist, she was always hopeful no matter the challenge.
Jane is survived by her husband, Brian; children; Kelsey Stremel (Josh), Hanley Kennedy (Sadie), Korby Kennedy (Kenzie), Marley Kennedy (Jessie), and Cally Shearer (David); mother, Betty Liles, brother, Steve Liles and sister Susan Lauver; grandchildren, John, Jorja, Jacob, June, Edie Jane, Greta, August, Ira, Delia, Dean and Briggs.
