Gloria Ann Wiley, 90, of Broadbent, passed away November 1, 2023, in Myrtle Point, Oregon. She was born on November 11, 1932, in Portland, Oregon. Gloria was a humble, selfless, and caring Christian woman who dedicated her life to her family. She married James Paul Wiley on November 15, 1953, and together they raised their four children on the family farm in Broadbent, which was established in 1864.
Gloria was a hardworking wife of a farmer and a loving mother and grandmother. She shared with her children and grandchildren valuable life lessons that will be remembered for generations.
Gloria is survived by her sister, Bonnie Gibbs, Children: Pauline Wiley, Jim Wiley, Irene Warner (Stan), and Eric Wiley (Rhonda). She was a loving grandmother to Melissa Honl (Tony), Misty Robbins, Kristina Leatherwood (Clint), Heather Lillie (Joshua), Katelyn Wiley, Abby Wiley (Timothy), Hayden Wiley (Eden), Jordan Wiley (Clementina). Gloria was blessed with fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, James Paul Wiley on March 28, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Winningham, her sister, Beverly Meyer and her daughter-in-law, Colleen Wiley.
In honoring Gloria’s wishes, no public services will be held. A private burial will take place at the Warner Cemetery on the family farm.
Gloria's family would like to express their gratitude to the Myrtle Point Care Center for the exceptional care they provided to Gloria during her time living there. The caregivers became like family to her, and she enjoyed and appreciated them all very much. The family would also like to extend their thanks to the Myrtle Point Ambulance crew for their prompt and compassionate assistance whenever it was needed.
