Pete Sherman, a resident of Myrtle Point, Oregon, passed away at his home on September 29, 2025, at the age of 75.
Born on January 1, 1950, Pete lived a life defined by love, hard work, and passion. His greatest devotion was to his wife and the love of his life, Janet Sherman, with whom he shared many wonderful years of marriage, family, and cherished memories.
Pete was a talented and dedicated automotive technician, respected by all who knew his skill and commitment to his craft. Beyond his career, Pete had an enduring love for drag racing, a passion that brought him countless friendships and joy throughout his life. He loved attending races and car shows, and in his later years, he remained determined and hopeful to return to racing once more. His enthusiasm for the sport was matched only by his love for his family.
Pete is survived by his beloved wife, Janet Sherman; his sons Joe Sherman, Austin Sherman, and Edward Sherman; his daughters Sandra Brooks and Stephanie Ouellette; and his grandchildren Hallie, Tyler, Zayden, Pepper, and Evelyn Sherman. He will be remembered for his humor, determination, and unwavering love for both his family and the world of cars and racing that brought him so much happiness.
