David Francis Melrose

David Francis Melrose passed away in Medford, Oregon on February 27, 2025 at the age of 87. Dave was a resident of Bandon Oregon for 20 years.

Dave was born on September 16, 1937, and was raised in Santa Monica, California.  He graduated from Saint Monica’s High School. He then began his 30-year career with the General Telephone Company, relocating to Redondo Beach and Clovis, California before retiring. He then applied for his contractor’s license and started his own residential construction business, Towne and Country Builders.  In 2005, he sold his business and relocated to Bandon, Oregon, where he kept busy by doing construction jobs in town.

Dave was a craftsman and enjoyed his various projects. He enjoyed greeting new neighbors in Bandon, walking the neighborhood, and visiting with friends and family.

Dave is survived by his wife, Brenda of 60 plus years; his 5 children, Chris Melrose, Melissa Farrow, Andrea Melrose, Peter Melrose and Andrew Melrose; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great- grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Tim Melrose. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norris and Rita Melrose and brothers, Albert and Mike.

Services will be held Friday, March 14, 2025 at 11 am at Amling Schroeder Funeral Home 125 SW 8th Bandon, Oregon 97411.

Dave will be missed by all.  God Bless Him
