Dale William Moralez, affectionately known as "Big Dale” and “Grandpa Dale,” suddenly passed away on February 26, 2025, in his home in Bandon, Oregon. Born on May 16, 1961, in Coos Bay, Oregon, Dale lived a life filled with passion for the outdoors and deep love for his family. Dale found great joy in fishing and crabbing along the Coquille River, spending countless hours on the water with his friends, children and grandchildren. His love for smoking fish and barbecue was well known among family and friends, as he took pride in preparing meals that brought people together. Above all else, Dale cherished time spent with his grandchildren, creating lasting memories through shared laughter and stories. Dale grew up in Hoopa California after graduating high school in Hoopa he moved to Bandon Oregon. He met and married Elizabeth Stone on November 16th, 1989. Dale is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Moralez; children Stephanie Stone, Wayne Stone, Colleen Stone, and Albert Moralez; grandchildren Jade Marmon, Crystal Marmon, Jared Preze, Katerina Moralez, Marvin Moralez, Gwendalen Moralez, Draco Carleton, MattieBell Carleton, Tabitha Eiker, and Scarlet Stone. As well as sisters Patricia Banks and Janet Moralez. He was preceded in death by his parents, Angel and Betty Moralez. Dale’s presence will be deeply missed by those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who loved him. There will be a BBQ gathering to remember him at Bullards Beach State Park on March 29th at 1:30pm.
