Casey Leon Ward was born in Gold Beach, Oregon to James and Carol Ward. He was a hard-working man of many talents. Casey attended Lebanon High School in Lebanon, Oregon, where he excelled at track and pole vaulting. In his early career, he worked as a telephone line and repairman, then later in finish cabinetry, carpentry and construction. Casey loved outdoors adventure and travel. As a young adult, he enjoyed hiking, rock climbing, and traveling. He was a proficient pilot and small plane owner who loved flying in his Cessna with his daughters. Casey served his community as a volunteer emergency medical technician (EMT).
In Arizona, Casey and his stepfather Tom did many home projects for his Mother Carol, including designing and building the beautiful, spired, Mustard Seed Chapel.
Casey grew to appreciate literature and poetry. A poet himself, his favorite poem is the Desiderata.
Since settling in Coquille with his beloved wife Delores, they found joy together remodeling and perfecting their rustic hillside home. They greatly enjoyed spending time on the beach and in their own backyard woods.
Casey was taken to be with the Lord in a place he loved. A grassy clearing on a gentle slope in his cherished forest, where he fell softly to rest as if placed by angels.
We love and miss you Casey. You are held forever in our hearts.
