Bill Nelson

Bill Owen Nelson of Fairview passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026. His passing leaves a significant void in the hearts of his family, friends, and community.

He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Pam; his children, Paul, Jenny, and Isaac; and his grandchildren, Brian, Samantha, Brady, Jordan, and Brycon. He is also survived by his sisters, Charlotte (Clee), Anna (Andy), and Joan; his brothers, Ray and Don; and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Bill served for four years in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a dedicated volunteer firefighter for the Fairview Fire Department since the 1980s, eventually serving as the Fairview Fire Chief.

An avid and enthusiastic outdoorsman, Bill loved hunting, fishing, clamming, crabbing, berry picking, motorcycle riding, and hiking. He lived every day to the fullest and was known for his infectious kindness, generosity, and ready laugh. He will be deeply missed...
