|My most sincere condolences to the family and particularly Rae. I had the great privilege to work for Jim and Rae when the Kemper Open was the premier tournament at the Tournament Players Club at Avenel, in Potomac, Maryland. He changed my life for the better. I have never met anyone more focused on achieving a goal and determined to guide people to a better life. RIP Jim. You made a very positive difference in my life.|

|Shirley and my deepest condolences to Rae for keeping our friend Jim on the straight and narrow as his partner in life. You both did well. Jim and I graduated from Jerome HS together in 1960 and followed each other over our careers. Jim was a fine and fun-loving person throughout his life. He served his nation well and was a great addition for Bandon Dunes. Too soon, but well lived.

|Sending much love to Jim's family. I served as an AmeriCorps member with the Southwestern Oregon Food Systems Collaborative, a group that Jim and Marie supported through the Wild Rivers Coast Alliance. I thoroughly appreciate Jim for mentoring me, supporting my work with the economic development of the fishing industry on the South Coast, and for putting up with my lack of golfing knowledge. His leadership and vision for rural Oregon will be greatly missed.|
