Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and all around love of everyone’s life that met her.  The two familiar words to describe her were “Smiley” and “Feisty”.  She was loved by many and adored by even more.  Doris grew up in her early years in Riddle, Oregon with her mother. father and brother.  She was a lady of many trades.  Especially knowing how to fillet fish of any kind.  She had the time of her life after retirement with her husband, “Jake” (of almost 50 years), in anchor Point, Alaska where they fished and had fun with newly found friends of many.  Her smile was contagious and her humor was all her own.  Many years of hard work, fun, and adventure made her a special lady and loved by all.  She absolutely adored her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren of many and spoke of them often!

Doris is survived by her children; Eldon Ray Gibson & Bethany Pounds Wright, Paulette and Wes Robbins, Denise and Ozzie Grenade and Darlene Jacobsen Quivey and Andy Garcia.  Step-sons Gary Jacobsen and wife Deb Jacobsen and David Jacobsen and wife Karlita Jacobsen.  Grandchildren; Justin and Trina Wesson, Chelsey Rempelos and Mike Forbes, William and Taylor Rempelos, Danielle Quivey Nelson and Brandon Nelson, Colton Quivey and Ashley Quinnell, Dea Robbins Brown and Travis Brown, Kelly and Kyle Shores, Jennifer Fleming and Lance, Eric and Holly Jacobsen, Cindy Hatten, Timothy Schoubroek, and Paula Fulton; great grandchildren, Myla Grace Wesson, Sawyer Wesson, Jason Maverick Forbes, Lane Russell Shores, Weston Lee Shores, Ashtyn Lena Shores, Mallory Jacobsen, Sydney Jacobsen, Abby Jacobsen, Odell Brown, Quentin Brown, Allison Miller, Elise Schoubroek, Maddison Hatten, Kaitlyn Hatten, Morgan Fleming, Tony Fleming, Chaz Fleming, Gavyn Grenade and Dylan Grenade.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Esther (Mills) Gilbreath; brother, Robert Gilbreath; husband, Dennis “Jake” Jacobsen; granddaughters, Kayleena Robbins and Misty Gibson.
