Potluck Celebration of Life will be held from 11am to 4pm at the family home, 93514 Upper Loop Lane, Coos Bay.

Robert was born on March 24, 1929 in Benton, MO to Lilburn and Mary Ruth (Henson) Cook.  He died December 3, 2017 at his Greenacres home.

He moved with his family to Coos Bay as a young child.  He attended Coos Bay Schools and Graduated from Marshfield High School.  He went to Chicago for a year to attend trade school and returned back to Coos Bay, working for Hansen Electric for 38 years as an electric motor winder.  When Hansen sold he started Bob’s Motor shop which he operated for another 10 years until he retired in 1991.  Robert married Sharon McFarlane on November 6, 1964 at the Greenacres Church.

Robert loved fishing and hunting.  He also loved hunting for agates, watching birds, gardening and tending to his yard.

Robert is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sharon of Greenacres; son, Scott Cook and his fiance’ Linda Andrews of Coos Bay; brothers, Ed Cook and his wife Judy of Myrtle Point, Ken Cook and his wife Bonnie of Greenacres, Richard Cook and his wife Louise of Creswell; sisters, Mary Ann Howell of Roseburg and Patsy Larsen and her husband Gary of Silverton; grandson, Connor Cook and his wife Kassie; granddughters, Erin Crooks and her husband Justin; Jennifer Turnipseed and her husband John.  He also leaves six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Randy Cook; two brothers and one sister.
