Dolores A. Williams, 79, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017, in the Pacific View Memory Care facility in Bandon where she lived for the last year and a half of her life.  Dolores had been living with Alzheimer’s disease for several years.

Dolores was born December 19, 1937 in the coal mining camp of Colmar, Kentucky to William Clifford and Bardie Marie (Robbins) VanBever.  Her family moved to Bandon in the 1950s, where she graduated from Bandon High School as salutatorian of her class in 1956.  Dolores never forgot Colmar, and always told stories of her childhood there with great fondness.  She married her husband Ralph LeRoy Williams, also of Bandon, in May of 1962; they were married for 55 years at the time of her passing.  After their children graduated from high school, Ralph and Dolores moved to the Glasgow area of North Bend where she lived for more than 30 years.  Dolores loved all animals, and in addition to the many dogs and cats she had over the years, she also took care of the many wild animals around her home.   After having children she was a homemaker for her family and was an accomplished seamstress from a young age, making clothing for herself and her children along with many items for their home.

Dolores is survived by her husband Ralph, her son David Ralph Williams and his partner Amie D. Fessler, and her daughter Cynthia Marie (Williams) Wilson and her husband Jon M. Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Fay J. (VanBever) Martindale.

Visitation Wednesday, June 28, 2017  from 2-6:00 p.m.  Amling & Schroeder Funeral Service in Bandon.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Park, Coos Bay, Oregon.
