David Lee Robertson of Myrtle Point, Oregon, died on April 26, 2017. He was 75 years old.  Dave was the youngest of Henry C. and Anna E. McDaid Robertson's 5 children. He was born on September 8, 1941, in Toledo, Oregon.

Dave attended Toledo High School graduating in the class of 1959.  He had fun with his classmates, enjoying many dancing activities. He played football, and stayed in contact with many of his high school friends.

Dave met his wife Mary Ellen Davenport at Oregon State University.  They were married December 26, 1964, at Sts. Ann & Michael Catholic Church, Myrtle Point. They have 4 children.

Dave brought his family to Myrtle Point in 1970. He worked for McKay's Market in the older building (now houses the bus shop), and the current McKay's building as a grocery clerk, and then as a school bus driver/delivery man for the Myrtle Point School District for 15 years.
He enjoyed two annual family reunions; the Robertson-Hall family camping reunion, and the Davenport family 4th of July potlucks in the Davenport Grove.  He enjoyed working around the farm, and loved his pets.

Dave's interest in photography began early when he set up a darkroom for developing his own film in the basement of his parents' home in Toledo. He loved taking pictures at family reunions, church, school, 4-H, and other events. He loved taking pictures of people haying, logging, participating in school sports, car racing, "the goings on" at Bud's Car Services, backpacking on the Rogue River, and the Coos County Fair and Parade. He loved a good story, saying "that would make a great campfire story!"

Dave is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen, four children: Ted Robertson of Myrtle Point, Angela(Chris) Broer of Meridian, Idaho, Tim(Liezl) Robertson of Las Vegas Nevada, and Randy(Michelle) Robertson of Seguin Texas.  9 grandchildren: Benjamin, Mary Beth, Lizzie, Baber, Valerie, Nicholas, Vincent, Rose and Dominic.  Dave is also survived by his sister Myrtle(Kent) Hall, Toledo, Oregon, as well as many other family and friends.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Jesse, Bob, and Ralph Robertson.

Memorial donations may be made to Toledo Elks #1664, 123 S.E. Alder, Toledo, Oregon 97391, or Sts. Ann & Michael Catholic Church  c/o 50 S. Dean Street, Coquille, Oregon, 97423, or a charity of your choice.
